We may be compensated by the companies we connect you with. Partners pay us for introductions — you never pay us anything, and your quotes are not marked up to cover our fee. Our cost guides and rankings are editorial and are not for sale.

Why Utah?

Remodeling advice written for the national average doesn't survive contact with Utah's housing stock — hard water that eats glass doors, 1970s cast-iron tubs, basement bathrooms, and a construction market that swings from Salt Lake City to Cedar City. A quote that's fair in Ogden can be high in Logan and low in St. George. So we built a guide that speaks Utah: local data, local pros, and answers that account for the home you actually own.

Why we started this

Pricing a bathroom remodel in Utah used to mean three uncomfortable phone calls, a stack of quotes you had no way to compare, and a nagging worry that you were either overpaying or about to hire the wrong crew. The information homeowners needed — what things actually cost here, which questions separate a good bid from a bad one, who's genuinely licensed — was scattered, salesy, or written for someone in another state.

We built Utah Shower & Bath to gather that in one honest place. First the numbers: real Utah cost ranges you can plan around, updated on a set cadence and broken down city by city. Then the shortcut: when you're ready to price your own project, we introduce you to up to three vetted local pros so you can compare real bids side by side. That's the whole idea — research first, no pressure, then a warm handoff to people who do good work.

Where our cost figures come from

Every dollar figure on this site is a Utah estimate for planning — not a quote. We build our ranges from aggregated partner quote data and published industry cost surveys, then apply a per-city adjustment for local labor and permit markets. We revisit the data on a set schedule and note the year on every guide. Your project is priced in your bathroom, so treat our numbers as a realistic starting point and let real quotes tell you the rest.

Our editorial independence

Our cost guides, city pages, and "best remodeler" rankings are editorial. Companies cannot pay to appear, to rank higher, or to have a fact changed. When a company we write about is also a matching partner, we mark that relationship plainly wherever it appears — and non-partners are scored on the very same rubric. If we get something wrong, tell us at hello@utahshowerandbath.com and we'll check it and correct the record.
